Live glass blowing will take place in the parking lot adjacent to us here at Spring Street Studios on July 23rd from 12-6pm. Brought to you by Spring Street Studios and Pittsburgh Glass Center. Featuring Hot Wheels, a mobile Glass Blowing unit and local preforming artists.

Hot Wheels, Pittsburgh Glass Center’s traveling glass studio, brings furnace-fired fun and glassblowing demonstrations to everyone! Artists twist and twirl the molten magma making fiery works of art.

Glass is an amorphous material. It’s always on the move.

This compact traveling glass studio is complete with all of the state-of-the-art equipment needed to conduct glassblowing demonstrations. It allows artists to pop-up all over town and twist and twirl the molten magma making fiery works of art.

Hot Wheels brings the art of glass to people who might not ever experience this addictive and dynamic mix of visual and performance art.

Make your mark on Zelie

Join us during Horse Trading Days in a community mosaic project! Local Artist Daviea Davis and Spring Street Studios will be hosting a community mosaic project that will culminate in a public mosaic unveiling on the facade of Spring Street Studios in 2022.

Individuals will have the opportunity to create a section of glass that will be incorporated into the large mosaic mural.

Your sponsorship and creation add a 4 inch x 4 inch tile section to the mosaic. All are welcome to create a piece of Zelienople history.

The 6 ft x 8 ft Mosaic Mural will feature a dynamic array of local landmarks and hidden historical treasures. After completion, viewers can hunt for the tributes to Zelienople and Butler county in the self guided scavenger hunt.
